GARLITZ Charles Ray Garlitz, 66, Finzel Road, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 1989, at Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, Md. He was born July 14, 1923, in Garrett County. He was a retired construction worker for I.A. Construction Company and a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Teamsters Local 453. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Pearl (Caton) Garlitz; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Bittner, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Kitty Stakem, Finzel, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Kay Hebler, Altoona; and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home where services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. John Longley. Interment, Johnson Cemetery, Garrett County.
