  CHARLES R. GARLITZ
  
  Charles Ray Garlitz, 66, Finzel Road, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 1989, at
  Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, Md.
  
  He was born July 14, 1923, in Garrett County.
  
  He was a retired construction worker for I.A. Construction Company and a
  member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and Teamsters Local 453.  He was
  an Army veteran of World War II.
  
  Surviving are his widow, Pearl (Caton) Garlitz; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie
  Bittner, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Kitty Stakem, Finzel, Md.; one sister, Mrs.
  Kay Hebler, Altoona; and four grandchildren.
  
  Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home where services were
  conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. John Longley.  Interment, Johnson
  Cemetery, Garrett County.
