Mr. Garlitz was last seen Dec. 18, but relatives had not reported him missing believing he had gone to Baltimore on a visit. He apparently was cutting wood when stricken and he is thought to have been dead over a week when his body was found. In his clothing were $675 in currency and 79 cents in change. There was no evidence of foul play, the authorities stated. He was a son of the late Isadora and Elizabeth Garlitz and was born at Avilton. Surviving are two sons, Ronald and Gerald, both in the armed services, and two daughters, Mrs. Grant McKenzie and Mrs. James Joyce, Baltimore. He was a brother of Lawrence Garlitz and Mrs. Lily Newman, Everett, Wash.; Orville and Wilfred Garlitz, Avilton; Mrs. John McGowan and Mrs. George Winner, Midland, Md. There are six grandchildren.
