She was the widow of Albert Francis Garlitz. A daughter of Franklin and Savilla (Saylor) Murray, she was born on April 17, 1881. Four children survive: J. Ernest and Mrs. William Bittner, both of Salisbury; Estella, at home, and Walter E., Altoona. Also surviving are four grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters: Milton and Harry Murray, both of Meyersdale; Mrs. Richard Newman, Mrs. Walter Johns, Mrs. Irvin Miller and Mrs. Grace Wright, all of Salisbury, and Mrs. John Miller and Mrs. Loren Morris, both of Akron, Ohio. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Garlitz was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Clay Murray. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon in the Salisbury Church of the Brethren by Rev. A. Jay Replogle. Interment was made in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of W. C. Price & Son. Meyersdale Republican, October 19, 1944
