  JAMES S. GARLITZ
  
  James S. Garlitz, 69, Grantsville, died April 20, 1972, in Sacred Heart
  Hospital, Cumberland, where he had been a patient four weeks.
  
  Born in Garrett County, Md., he was a son of the late Winfield and Rose
  (Fazenbaker) Garlitz.  He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church and
  was employed by Kelly-Springfield Tire Co.
  
  Survivors include his wife, the former Victoria Broadwater; a stepson,
  Donald Van Gilder, Berlin; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph Brode, Berlin;
  and Mrs. John Platt, Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. George Nicklow,
  Garrett; and Mrs. Jack Durst, Grantsville; and nine grandchildren.
  
  A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated Monday morning in St. Stephen's
  Church with interment in the Blocher Cemetery.
