Garlitz, who with her husband resided in West Salisbury for many years, died Nov. 12th in Akron, Ohio, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Dunn, at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 6 days, of senility. Her maiden name was Christner. Mrs. Garlitz, in spite of her great age, was in good health practically all the time during the latter years of her life, but her death speedily followed a fall which rendered her unconscious a short time preceding her demise. Her remains were transported to her home community and interred in the Catholic Church cemetery at West Salisbury last Monday morning, following the funeral service which was held in St. Michael's Catholic Church, and was conducted by the local priest, Rev. Father Howard T. Miller. R. Reich & Son of Meyersdale had charge of the burial arrangements. The obsequies were attended by many of her old-time friends and neighbors, who held her and her late husband in high esteem. Mrs. Garlitz is survived by one son and two daughters, namely, John Garlitz, of Cairnbrook; Mrs. Ellen Showalter, of Salisbury, and Mrs. James Dunn of Akron, Ohio.
