Garlitz, 54, of Lorain, Ohio, died July 16, 1977, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lorain, Ohio. Mr. Garlitz was born at Avilton, Md., a son of Mrs. Malla (Bordon) Garlitz, Avilton, and the late Orville B. Garlitz. Also surviving are his widow, Faye (Crowe) Garlitz; a son, Gilbert Garlitz, Lorain; three daughters, Bonnie and Faye A. Garlitz, both at home, and Mrs. Inez Oberle, Amherst, Ohio; three brothers, Joseph and Ellis Garlitz, both of Avilton, Md.; and Leonard Garlitz, Salisbury, and two sisters, Mrs. Inez Michaels, Amherst, and Mrs. Lillian Kamp, Sheffield, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II and was a retired employe [sic] of U.S. Steel Company. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Lorain. A graveside service was conducted Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery by Rev. John L. Reinsfelder. Military rites were accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
