All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ THOMAS HENRY GARLITZ Thomas Henry Garlitz, son of the late Henry Garlitz and Lucy McKenzie Garlitz, died at Sand Patch, Wednesday, March 25th, at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 3 days, after a two years' suffering from severe stomach trouble, to which he succumbed. Mr. Garlitz was born at Avilton, Md., August 22, 1868. He lived at Sand Patch for many years and was a member of SS. Philip and James Catholic Church of Meyersdale. Interment will be made in the Catholic Cemetery at Meyersdale on Saturday, March 28th, after the funeral services in the church which will be held at 9 a.m., with requiem mass by Rev. J. J. Brady. Undertaker R. Reich & Son have charge of the funeral arrangements. Mr. Garlitz is survived by his wife, Stella Malvina Garlitz, of Sand Patch, one son, C. W. Garlitz of Sand Patch, and three daughters, Mrs. C. M. Brooks, of Meyersdale, Mrs. M. C. Kelly and Mrs. E. A. Stone, of Sand Patch, nine grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Robeson of Avilton, Md. One daughter, Pearl Marie Garlitz, died in infancy. Meyersdale Republican, March 26, 1931
