  JOHN L GARRETY
  
    John L. Garrety, 83, Laurel Crest Manor, formerly of Johnstown, died
  March 15, 1993, at the manor.
    He was born June 13, 1899, in Aye, Scotland, son of Mrs. Margaret (Wylie)
  Garrety.  He was preceded in death by parents and daughter, Margaret Figard.
    He is survived by widow, former Elizabeth Schobel, Johnstown, and these
  children: Mary Catherine Hurtak, Harrisburg; Elizabeth "Betty Ann" McGuire,
  Johnstown; John, Berlin; and Robert, Jenners; also 14 grandchildren and 12
  great-grandchildren.  He was the brother of Marian Lawton, Oklahoma City,
  Okla.
    Funeral services were private.  Interment in Ebensburg.  Arrangements by
  John W. Askew Funeral Home Ebensburg.
