Gary, 90, Somerset RD 1, formerly of Scullton, died Oct. 20, 1986, at Siemon Lakeview Manor Estate. Born July 30, 1896 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, he was a son of the late Jonas and Catherine (Bowman) Gary. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Jennie Faidley in 1951; two brothers, Ernest and Ralph; one sister, Susan Shultz; and two stepsons, John and Lloyd Hostetler. Survived by five children: Dean, Nanty Glo; Sara Gary, Somerset; Wilson, Johnstown; Mrs. William (Effie) King, Rockwood RD 3; and Mrs. Jean DePhillips, Somerset RD 1; also a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Hostetler, Somerset; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; also one brother, Daniel, Berlin; and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Pletcher, Rockwood RD 3. He was a retired farmer, sawmiller and merchant. He was a former Upper Turkeyfoot supervisor. He was a member of the Scullton Christian Missionary Alliance Church where he served many years as Sunday school superintendent. Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
