He was born December 18, 1911, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son a Jacob and Minnie Miner Gary. He is survived by his mother of Markleton RD 1; three sons, Charles E., Jr., Rockwood RD 1; Fred R. and Kenneth R., both of Markleton RD 1; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Trimpey, Markleton RD 1; six brothers, Harry, Rockwood RD 1; Norman, Markleton RD 1; Lester, Rockwood; Frank, Somerset; John, Markleton RD 1 and Paul, Rockwood RD 1; five sisters, Mrs. Rose Henry, Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Lily Brocht, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Katie Hoover, Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Edna Tressler, Confluence and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father on February 27, 1969. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. Services were conducted at Markleton Church of God Monday afternoon, the Rev. Norman Seese officiating. Interment was in the Old Bethel Cemetery in charge of William J. Wood Funeral Home. Meyersdale Republican, September 5, 1974 [G0135]
