  Harry (Pappy) Gary, 75, Confluence, formerly of Rockwood, died July 13,
  1985, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born Dec. 26, 1909, in
  Scullton, son of Jacob and Minnie (Miner) Gary.  Survived by two sons,
  James E., Rockwood; and Howard R., Garrett; three daughters, Mrs. Dwayne
  (Betty) McClintock, Confluence; Mrs. Charles (Jean) Phillippi, Rockwood RD
  2; and Mrs. Darwin (Nola) Hoover, Rockwood RD 2; five brothers, Norman,
  Markleton RD 1; Lester, Rockwood; Frank, Somerset RD 6; John, Markleton;
  and Paul, Rockwood RD 1; four sisters, Mrs. Homer (Lillie) Brocht, Rockwood
  RD 3; Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Kreger, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Mrs. Clarence (Katie)
  Mostoller, Somerset RD 2; and Mrs. Dwight (Edna) Tressler, Confluence RD 3;
  17 grandchildren.  Preceded in death by parents, a daughter, and two sons,
  Orville and Harold. Also preceded in death by wife, Cora (Sanner) Gary, who
  died march 31, 1975.  Lifelong member of Old Bethel Church. President of
  Somerset County Trappers Association. Member of UMW Local 1742. Worked as
  Coal Miner for 43 years. Friends will be received in William J. Wood
  Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, and
  until 1 p.m. Wednesday, when remains will be removed to Old Bethel Church
  for service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Raymond Schermerhorn officiating. 
  Interment, Old Bethel Church cemetery. No viewing in the church. In lieu of
  flowers, please make donations to Somerset County Chapter of American Cancer
  Society. Arrangements under direction of William J. Wood Funeral  Home,
  Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
