Gary, 88, of Markleton, died Feb 15, 2002 at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 24, 1914 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. Son of the late Jacob and Minnie (Miner) Gary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson John Wesley Shaulis; brothers Harry, Charles, Lester and John Gary; and sisters Rosie Trimpey Henry, Gladys Kreger and Katie Hoover Mosholder. Survived by wife of 66 years Olive R. (Faidley) Gary; son Sherman, married to Linda (Blubaugh) of Confluence; and daughter Lillie, married to Paul R. Shaulis of Markleton; granddaughters Julie, married to Perry Kreger of Confluence, and Lori, married to Brian Frazee of Markleysburg; great-grandchildren Acacia Kreger, Justin, Jessilyn and Kaitlyn Frazee; brothers Frank of Somerset and Paul of Rockwood; sisters Lillie Brocht of Rockwood and Edna Tressler of Confluence; also nieces and nephews. A retired coal miner of 43 years and a member of the U.M.W.A. He attended the Kingwood Church of God and liked to hunt and fish. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, the Rev. James Monticue officiating.
