Gary, 74, of Rockwood RD 3, died June 13, 1986, Somerset Community Hospital. Born July 19, 1911, in Scullton, a son of the late Jonas and Susan (Bowman) Gary. Preceded in death by an infant son; sister, Mrs. Susie Shultz; and brother, Ernest. Survived by his wife, the former Olive Mae Ansell and these children, Ross N. of Somerset RD 5; Randy L. of Buffalo Mills; and Mrs. James F. (Joan) Platt of Rockwood, RD 3. Also 11 grandchildren. Brother of Albert, Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Elsie Pletcher, Rockwood RD 3; and Daniel of Berlin RD 3. Member of the Scullton Alliance Church and the Scullton Rod and Gun Club. Owned and operated the Gary Sawmill, Laurel Hill Service Station and Restaurant and the Scullton Store. Also employed as a utility plant operator for the Somerset State Hospital. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Bradley King officiating.
