Gary, 74, of 435 Water St., Rockwood, died Sept. 26, 1994, at Somerset Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1919, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, son of the late James and Anna (Pletcher) Gary. Preceded in death by wife, Emma, and brother, Earl. Survived by children: Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Sarver of Garrett; Mrs. Edgar (Sandy) Sarver of Berlin; Roy G. Gary Jr. of Sacramento, Calif.; James D. Gary of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Mrs. Donald (Cherry) Sarver of Berlin RD 1, and Mrs. Jesse (Carol) Mulhollen of Friedens. Brother, Ray Gary of Rockwood RD 3, and sisters, Mrs. Clifford (Alma) Flemming of Wheeling, W.Va., and Mrs. Arnold (Grace) Ansell of Rockwood RD 3, and close friend, Verdena Schafer of Rockwood; also 14 grandchildren. Veteran of World War II. Member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home in Rockwood, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. Arnold Ansell officiating. Interment, Scullton Cemetery. Somerset Daily American, September 27, 1994.
