  GARY
  
  Silas J. Gary, 71, 3312 W. 38th St., Erie, Pa., formerly of Rockwood, died
  Saturday at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, following a short illness.  Born
  March 21, 1908, in Rockwood, son of the late Jonas and Lucinda Gary.
  Survived by wife, Alice A. Gary; daughter, Mrs. Howard (Betty)
  Herchelroath, North Huntington; son, Robert, Maitland, Fla.; five
  grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Violet Sanner,
  Rockwood.  He was employed as a security officer with Daub Associates, Erie.
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home,
  2505 Powell Ave., Erie. Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at
  Community United Church, 1011 W. 38th St., Erie, the Rev. R. A. Mikolon
  officiating.  Interment, Erie County Memorial Gardens.
