  Ruth S. Gashaw, 70, of Shirleysburg RD, died Aug. 8, 1984, in State College
  Manor.  Born in Somerset, daughter of Lewis and Emma (Berkhart) Lafferty. 
  Married Lester Gashaw who died in 1982.  Services will be held 2:30 p.m.
  Friday at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mt. Union, officiating the Rev.
  Hildegarde Hendrickson.  Interment, Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg.
