Gasperine, 86, Listie Road, Friedens, died March 26, 1998, at Davenport, Fla. Born May 24, 1911, in Morgantown, W. Va., son of Pete and Antonia (Carlin) Gasperine. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: Louis, John and Dominick. Survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Emma DePhillips; daughter, Sandy, married to Floyd Dively; grandson, Terry, married to the former Lynne Ankeny, and great-grandson, Eric Dively, all of Friedens. He retired as a fitter from U.S. Steel, Johnstown. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset; Somerset F.O.E., Listie hunting camp, life and charter member of Listie Volunteer Fire Co. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
