GASTLEY William "Wild Bill" Jacob Gastley, 76, of Somerset, passed away April 13, 2003 at his home. Born Sept. 13, 1926 in Gray, the son of William Jacob and Thelma Leanore (Harwood) Gastley Sr. Preceded in death by his wife Lillian Mae (Dunmeyer), Jan. 18, 2001; parents; daughters Kathryn J. Gastley and Patricia A. Miller; an infant son; sisters Vivian McCauliff, Martha Cramer and Betty Leverknight; brothers, Charles Gastley and Frederick Gastley. Survived by these children: Norma, married to Carl Watson Sr., Alpharetta Shaffer, Carol Stevanus, Caroline Gastley, Fred, married to Rita Gastley, Tim, married to Beth Gastley, all of Somerset; Bill, married to Diana Gastley of Meyersdale; Deborah, married to Robert Miller of Kingwood, and Darlene Kerr of Bakersville; also 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Brother of Alpharetta Calderone, Benjamin Gastley and Harry Gastley of Kentucky. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. James Kesler officiating.
