  Dorothy J. Gates, 72, Washington, D.C., formerly of Somerset, died Feb. 24,
  2002.  Preceded in death by father, Robert Dwire.  Survived by mother,
  Evelyn Dwire, Somerset; son, Robert Gates, Rockville, Md.; two
  grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Jonathan; sister: Olive Marek, Pittsburgh.  She
  was a 1947 graduate of Somerset High School.
