Gates, Joseph

  Joseph Gates, an engineer for the Pennsylvania railroad and one of Windber's 
best known citizens, dropped dead at his home, recently. Death was due to a 
stroke of apoplexy. He is survived by his wife and two children, Edward of 
Windber, and Mrs. J. W. Snyder, wife of the cashier of the Citizens Bank of 
Windber.
