  RHEA GATES
  
  Rhea Gates, 85, South Edgewood Avenue, Somerset, died June 5, 1978, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 2, 1892, in Somerset, a daughter of
  Harrison and Nancy (Lape) Berkey.  Preceded in death by parents; husband,
  Raymond M.; two sisters, Molly and Emily; and two brothers, Norman and
  George.  Survived by one son, Raymond, Somerset RD 2; one step-daughter,
  Jacqueline, wife of Robert Schrock, Rockwood; one grandson, Robert M.
  Gates.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset; American
  Legion Auxiliary; Business and Professional Women's Club, Somerset; Retired
  employee of J.C. Penney Co.  Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday
  in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted
  Thursday at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. H. James Meyers officiating.  Interment,
  Union Cemetery.
