FRANK W. GATESMAN

  The Florida Advocate of Wauchula, Fla., announces the death on Wednesday, Oct. 
8th, at his home four miles east of Wauchula, of Frank W. Gatesman, formerly of 
Meyersdale, at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 17 days.  He is survived by his 
wife and three children, Mrs. Clara Frank and Edwin and Francis Gatesman.  
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m., Friday, Rev. Father P. D. O'Brien, 
officiating.  Interment in New Hope Cemetery, Wauchula.  Mr. Gatesman was a 
resident of Meyersdale for many years, being the brother-in-law and partner of 
Edwin Buhl in the operation of the Buhl & Gatesman distillery, prior to 
Prohibition.  After the closing of the distillery the Buhl and Gatesman families 
moved to Florida.  Mr. Gatesman was a man of many sterling qualities and had 
many friends here who will be sorry to hear of his untimely death.
