  GAUDLIP
  
  Joseph A. Gaudlip Jr., 69, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Jerome, died Jan.
  29, 1999, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home.  Born March 31, 1929, in
  Portage, son of Joseph A. Sr. and Catherine (Cadwallader) Gaudlip. 
  Preceded in death by father and sister Patricia.  Survived by mother of
  Jerome; son Kevin, Richland; and three grandchildren.  Brother of Alberta,
  wife of Ted Smith, Portage; David, married to Ella Mae Eckenrode, Jerome;
  John "Jack," married to Verna Chasar, Hooversville; Kathleen, wife of Al
  Berkey, Jerome; Barbara, wife of Eugene Szymanski, Springfield, Va.; and
  James, married to Mary Ann Poznanski, Avon Park, Fla.  Also survived by
  numerous nieces and nephews.  Army veteran of the Korean War.  Past member
  of the former Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome.  Friends will be received
  from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell,
  where service will be held at noon Tuesday.  The Rev. Father Martin Breski,
  O.F.M. Conv.  Interment, St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Portage.
