Gaumer, 70, Salisbury RD 1, died May 27, 1989, in Frostburg, Md. Born April 4, 1919, in Boynton, son of Lottie (Baer) Gaumer of Frederick, Md., and the late John C. Gaumer. Also survived by his wife, the former June E. Durst; two sons, Wayne, of Hagerstown, Md., and Daniel L. of Frostburg; one daughter, Brenda K. Otto, Salisbury; two brothers, Robert, Frostburg, and John, Dearborn, Mich.; one sister, Miss Mary Ellen Gaumer, Frederick; three granddaughters and one step-grandson. Retired truck driver for Charlton Brothers Trucking of Jeannette. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury. Veteran World War II. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Family suggests donations to the St. John's Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association.
