Born in Hyndman, he was the son of the late Earl T. and Rachel (Shroyer) Gaumer. He was a self-employed contractor, and was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Gail Ashenfelter, Aberdeen: and Mrs. Karen Gelex, Donna, Rhonda and Jeanette Gaumer, all of Baltimore; four sons, Curtis E., Jr., Cumberland, Md.; Dennis Leon Lepley, Buxter, Tenn.; Gerald Wayne Gaumer, Yorktown, Va., and Theodore Gaumer, Baltimore; three sisters, Mrs. Melvin Deneen, Cairnbrook, Pa.; Mrs. Thomas Bryant, Baltimore, and Miss Phylis Gaumer, Hyndman; two brothers, William W. Gaumer, Hyndman, and Stanford L. Gaumer, Baltimore and two grandchildren. Services were held at the Zeigler Funeral with the Rev. James Ryan officiating. Interment, Comps Cemetery.
