Born Jan. 30, 1923, in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Lorena (Mort) Durst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gaumer, May 28, 1989; and six brothers, James, Morley, Jack, Daniel, William and Charles Durst. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Gaumer and wife, Hazel, Hagerstown, Md.; Daniel Gaumer and wife, Maxine, Grantsville, Md.; one daughter, Brenda Otto, Salisbury; one sister, Mildred Yutzy, Taylor, Mich.; three granddaughters, Cheryl, Kristen and Shelley; two step grandsons, Michael and William; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gaumer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, and was a homemaker. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury. A service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Salisbury Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Home Hospice Care or the American Lung Association.
