  Betty E. (Winters) Gaydos, 70, West Church Street, died Oct. 27, 1988, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 29, 1918, in Boswell, daughter of
  Marian Schmucker Winters and the late Melvin Winters Sr.  Also preceded in
  death by one brother, Melvin Winters Jr.  Survived by mother; husband, Steve
  M. Gaydos; one sister, Jacqueline, wife of Edward E. Brougher, Jennerstown;
  and sister-in-law, Mrs. Melvin Winters Jr., Somerset.  Also a number of
  nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.  Member of Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Somerset.  At one time was very active in golf, because her
  husband was a golf pro.  Memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m.
  in Trinity Lutheran Church, Pastor H. James Myers officiating.  Family will
  receive friends 2-3 p.m. at the church.  Interment, Husband Cemetery at the
  convenience of the family.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church
  or Somerset Hospice.  Arrangements are in charge of Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home.
