Geary, 67, of Rockwood, passed on Oct. 22, 2003, at Westmoreland Regional Hospital in Greensburg. Born Jan. 26, 1936, in Indian Head, she is the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Patterson) Ansell. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Janet Sadler, and brother Harold Ansell. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Samuel Geary, daughters Cheryl Ann, married to Roger Miller of Markleton, Peggy, married to Philip Gilbert, Eastonalle, Ga. and Kimberly, married to Lynn Henry of Rockwood; grandchildren Kristi Jo and Jamie Mark Miller, Bryan Gilbert, and Drew Henry, and great-grandsons Cameron Hostetler and Brandon Tressler. She is the sister of Vernadine Gary, Enid Schultz, Beverly Mognet, Carole Judy, and Arnold, Elwood, John B., Clarence Jr., Hubert, George, and Frank Ansell. She was a member of Laurel Mountain Chapel in Trent where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She also loved to sew and quilt. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Mountain Chapel, Rev. Don Judy officiating with Rev. Boyd Race. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service. Interment will be at Scullton Cemetery.
