Geary, 60, of Champion RD 1, died Wednesday, May 20, 1987, of injuries at his place of work. Born Oct. 15, 1926, on Champion, the son of Luzetta (Lohr) Geary of Champion RD 1 and the late Jacob Geary. A lifelong Champion area resident, he was employed as a lumberman for the Harold Donaldson Lumber Co. He was a social member of the Donegal American Legion and attended the Indian Head Church of God. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen (Donaldson) Geary; a son, Mark Thomas Geary of Ebensburg; and a daughter, Mrs. Neil (Sandy) Hoffman of Somerset; two grandchildren; three brothers: Claire Geary, Champion RD 1; Allen Geary, Normalville; and Bernard Geary of Louisiana; and a sister, Mrs. Eugene (Edith) Miller of Normalville. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother, James Geary. Friends received from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft, where service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, with Dr. G. Marion Smith officiating.
