Geiger, aged 37, a veteran of the World War, died last Thursday evening at 6:30 o'clock at his home in Connellsville, following an illness of several days. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob E. Geiger, of Wittenburg, Larimer Township, and was born July 2, 1894. Surviving are his parents, his wife and two children, Geraldine, aged nine, and James, aged five. He also leaves these brothers and sisters: William H. and Charles A. Geiger, both of Canton, O.; Mrs. Susan Steinley, of Berlin; Mrs. E. F. Petenbrink, of Scottdale; Mrs. John Merschbaher of Canton, O.; Mrs. Harvey Petenbrink, of Wittenburg, and Mrs. L. C. Bittner, of Scottdale. The body was prepared for burial by undertaker William C. Price, of Meyersdale, and was taken to the home of his parents, where it was kept until Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, when funeral services were conducted in the White Oak Lutheran Church by Rev. Samuel D. Sigler of Salisbury. Interment was made in the family plot in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, August 6, 1931
