Geiger, owner and president of Wilson and Pugh Co., 215 South George St., Cumberland, Md., died May 7, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Mr. Geiger, who had been in failing health for several years, resided on Route 2, Baltimore Pike. Born Oct. 21, 1905, he was a son of the late Ezra and Martha (Lowery) Geiger. Mr. Geiger, who has been semi-retired since 1971, became affiliated with Wilson and Pugh in 1934. A loyal supporter of various Christian organizations, he was a member of LaVale Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Surviving are his widow, Nellie Pearl (Norman) Geiger; a son, Ronald R. Geiger, Cumberland; a sister, Alice Shockey, Meyersdale RD 4; and one brother, Harvey A. Geiger Sr., Meyersdale RD 4; one granddaughter, Lisa Geiger; and one grandson, Eric Geiger, and 15 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: infant, John H., Irvin. Friends were received at the George Funeral Home after which the body was removed to the LaVale Baptist Church. The funeral was conducted by the Pastor Robert Landes. Internment was in Sunset Cemetery on Bedford Road. The Republic, May 26, 1977 [G0269]
