Geisel, Meadowbrook Terrace, Bedford, 75, died April 15, 1995, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown. Born Dec. 28, 1919, in Pleasantville, son of the late Vernon G. and Sue E. (Barefoot) Geisel. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Fred. Survived by wife, the former Betty Diehl; 3 daughters: Vivian G., wife of Thomas Kimmel, Somerset; Lou, wife of Barry Mulhollen of Boswell; Sarah G., wife of James Mountain, Everett; stepdaughter, Shelba J. (Feight), wife of Ronald Purtle, Mechanicsburg; stepson, L. Eugene Feight, married to the former Kathy MacHardy, Harrisonburg, Va.; 2 brothers, Jack H. Geisel of Pleasantville and C. Dick Geisel of Johnstown, and a sister, Mary Jane Whetstone of Osterburg. Six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Graduate of the former Dale High School and a 1938 graduated of the American Academy of Embalming and Mortuary research of New York, N.Y. Retired funeral director and former owner of the Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford since 1947. Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bedford. He was an elder for eight years. Belonged to Bedford Lions Club, Keystone Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and Bedford Flickers. He was an avid fisherman. Viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford. Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Bedford, the Rev. Roger Stine officiating.
