  GEIST 
  
  Betty Ruth Gnagey Geist, 80, of Burlington, N.C., formerly of Berlin, died
  at her home Aug. 27, 2002.  Betty Ruth is the daughter of the late Walter
  and Ella (Musser) Gnagey.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and
  husband, Edgar L. Geist.  Survived by a son Tom Geist and wife Melinda; two
  granddaughters, Heather and Jessica; a brother Robert L. Gnagey and wife
  Mary; one cousin, Edward M. Landis and wife Etta; four nieces and
  nephews.  A beloved companion Paul G. Rhew also survives.  Betty was a
  graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School.  Funeral services were held
  Aug. 30 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Stephen C. Rust
  officiating.  Interment in cemetery at Baltimore, Md.
