  GELPI 
  
  Bernard Gelpi, 79, West Fairview Street, Somerset, died Jan. 30, 1994, in
  his home.  Born Dec. 4, 1914, in Schegnano, Italy.  Son of the late John
  Battista and Antonietta, Gelpi.  Preceded in death by parents and wife, the
  former Martha Beeman.  Survived by children: Ernest, John, Richard and
  Bernice Barnett, all of Somerset; Michael, Listie, and Robert of Mesa,
  Ariz.  Also 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Member of St.
  Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset.  Graduate of Somerset High School
  Class of 1932.  He and his late father owned and operated Gelpi Masonry. 
  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be
  conducted at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.  Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
  Thursday in St. Peter's Church, Msgr. Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. 
  Interment, Husband Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the Somerset 
  Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
