    James Gelsie Sr., 76, Ripley, N.Y. formerly of Stoystown, PA., died
  Saturday, Aug. 21, 1993, at his residence.  Funeral services at 10 a.m.
  Tuesday at the Mathews Funeral Home, Ripley, N.Y.  Burial will follow in
  the East Ripley Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the American
  Cancer Society or to a hospice.
