He was born July 27, 1855, and was aged 87 years, 9 months and 6 days. He was a member of St. John's Evangalical Lutheran Church, Cove, where funeral services were held, May 5th, the pastor, Rev. Hugo Fickenscher, officiating. Interment in the church cemetery, directed by William Winterberg, Grantsville mortician. Surviving are 13 children, named and located as follows: Mrs. Laurs Stroud, Dunbar, Pa.; Charles Georg, Mrs. Cora Kolb, Mrs. Elsie Hetz, Mrs. Gertrude Glass, Accident, Md.; Mrs. Matilda O'Hun, Uniontown, Pa.; Albert Georg, McKeesport, Pa.; Arthur Georg, Pitcairn, Pa.; Edward and Clarence Georg, Turtle Creek, Pa.; Carl and Judson Georg, Wadsworth, Ohio; Mrs. Freda Moser, Toledo, Ohio. Surviving also are 34 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two sisters, Anna Georg, Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Mary Richter, Dover, Delaware. Mr. Georg was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of The Cove. Meyersdale Republican, May 13, 1943
