Jacob Georg, 72, of Jennerstown, died Dec. 1, 1975 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Born Feb 25, 1903 in Jenner Township, a son of Charles and Emma B. Lohr Georg. Preceded in death by parents, first wife, the former Rachel M. Mowry, who died June 25, 1967; an infant daughter; brothers, John WS. who also died Dec. 1, 1975; Harry, and Edward R.; and a sister Zeda R. Survived by his second wife, the former Catherine Beam Trible; a daughter Gretchen, wife of H. Eugene Kline; son Eric G., married to the former Lynn Hoffman, both of York; grandchildren: E. James; Kristine and Johanna Kline; and Jeffrey and Jessica Georg; stepchildren: William Trible of Sarasota, Fla.; Mary Lou, wife of James Thomas of Silver Springs, Md.; and Janet Lee, wife of James R. Hay of Jennerstown. Was a brother of C. Earl and Mrs Lulu O'Connor both of Johnstown; Paul of Davidsville; Mrs. Charlotte Weaver of Jennerstown; Mrs. Emma Barnette and Mrs. Marion McMullen both of Washington D.C.; and Mrs. Mildred Hammer of Boswell RD 1. Was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Boswell, and a former member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. He served many times on the church council and was a delegate to the Synod many times. He taught the Friendly Bible Class in the Sunday School for 29 years and was a member of the Somerset District Cabinet of the Lutheran Church. He was a former assistant cashier of the Peoples State Bank, Boswell. He was an active member of the Gideons and a former member of the Boswell Water Authority.
