Georg, 80, were held Monday from the German Lutheran Church at Accident, Md., with Rev. H. L. Fickenscher, pastor of the Cove church, officiating. Six nephews served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Accident cemetery under the supervision of William Winterberg, local mortician. Mr. Georg died early Thursday evening, March 26, at his home near Accident. His health had been failing during the past two years. He was born Sept. 30, 1861, in the community in which he died and spent practically his entire life there. He was a son of John and Kate Simon Georg, natives of Germany. For many years he engaged in farming, but retired from the occupation several years ago, turning the management of the place over to a son. He had been a member of the German Lutheran Church since early boyhood. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Neil Georg, three daughters, Mrs. Henry Beckett, Nisland, S. Dakota, Mrs. Clarence Kamp, Austin, Minn., and Mrs. George Burkhart, Miami, Fla., five sons, Albert Georg, Austin, Minn., Oscar Georg, Knierim, Iowa, Elmer Georg, Carmichael, Pa., Raymond Georg and Arnold Georg, Accident; a sister, Mrs. Henry Kolb, Cove; thirty-nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
