GEORG Richard Richter Georg, 62, of Garrett Highway, Accident, Md., died at his residence Saturday, Aug. 9, 1997. Born Nov. 9, 1934, in Accident, Md., he was the son of Raymond Georg, Goodwill Mennonite Home, and the late Margaret (Richter) George. Mr. George was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and was a livestock dealer for the Friend's Stockyard, Pennsylvania Livestock and Grantsville Livestock. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of Grantsville American Legion Post 214 and the National Cattlemen's Association. Surviving, in addition to his father, are three brothers: Francis J. Georg, Arlington, Va.; Edward W. Georg, Nokesville, Va.; and Thomas R. Georg, Accident, Md. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Grantville, on Aug. 12. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Goetz officiating. Interment, Zion Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Floyd Georg, Chad Georg, Bill Friend, Joe Friend, Jim Glotfelty and Dale Frantz.
