    John H. George, 80, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Garrett, died Sept. 24, 
  1978 in Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, Ohio.
    Born Oct. 11, 1897 in Houtzdale, he was a son of the late John and 
  Elizabeth (Lannigan) George.
    He was a member of St. Cecelia Catholica Church, Clearwater, Fla., and a 
  retired assistant superintendent for Alcoa Aluminum Co., Detroit, Mich.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lula B. (Wagner) George; four brothers, Leo 
  George, Clearwater, Fla.; James George, Fenton, Mich.; Robert George and 
  William George, both of Detroit, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wilkinson, 
  Mrs. Mary Humphrey, Mrs. Catherine Murray and Mrs. Clara Waldeck, all of 
  Clearwater, Fla.
    Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.
    Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Michael's Catholic Church 
  with the Rev. E. F. Figurelle officiating.  Interment, Salisbury Cemetery.
    A Christian Wake service was held in the funeral home.
