She was born February 18, 1917, in the Cove, MD, daughter of the late Harry and Reba (Smith) Bowser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert George;20a son, John; a step-grandson, Chris; two brothers, Charles and Ernest Bowser and a sister, Freda Reichenbecher. She is survived by two sons: Duane George, Watertown, CT; Delmas George, Salisbury; two daughters: Mary Albright, Salisbury; Wanda Shumaker, Cumberland, MD; a brother, Merle Bowser, Grantsville, MD; three sisters: Edith May Yommer, Addison, PA; Donna Walker and Gloria Reckner, both of Salisbury; 18 grandchildren, two step-grandsons, 32 great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren and one on the way. Mrs. George was a seamstress for Salisbury Garment Factory and Meyersdale Garment Factory. She was a member of the State Line United Methodist Church. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury. Services were conducted in the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Shumaker officiating. Interment was held in Addison Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to State Line United Methodist Church or favorite charity.
