Gerber, 70, Rockwood RD 2, died Dec. 14, 1987, in the Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Sept. 14, 1917, in Somerset County, a daughter of Edward and Lucy (Thomas) Friedline. Survived by one son, Richard Leo Gerber of McArthur, Calif,; two daughters: Mrs. Russell (Donna) Johnson of Rockwood, Mrs. James (Diana) Wiltrout of Markleton; two brothers: Ray of Rockwood RD 1 and Donald of Rockwood; five sisters: Mrs. Edna Moon and Alma Pritts, both of Rockwood RD 2; Elva Ohler, Philadelphia; Katherine Heiple of Indiana, Pa.; and Alice Kellogg of Rockwood; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Leo, who died April 22, 1983; and her parents and one brother. A member of the Rockwood Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, the O.E.S. of Somerset, St. Luke's Lutheran Church of Rockwood, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Served on the board of directors for Meyersdale Hospital and was a newly-elected member of the Rockwood School Board. President of the Rockwood Citizens Committee. Member of the Casselman Valley Sportsmen's Club. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and until noon Friday, when the remains will be removed to St. Luke's Lutheran Church for services at 1 p.m., the Rev. Jay Christner officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. There will be no viewing in the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, or to Rockwood Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
