    D. Paul Gerhard, 71, Turtle Creek, foremrly [sic] of Meyersdale, died 
  Jan. 29, in Turtle Creek.
    Born Aug. 7, 1895, in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late John and 
  Sadie (Younkin) Gerhard.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Beal, and fourteen children:  
  Charles, Turtle Creek; Homer, Meyersdale, Paul E., Rockwood; Jack 
  and Mrs. June White, Los Angeles; Woodrow and Kenneth, Phoenix, 
  Ariz.; James E., Pittsburgh; Mrs. Phyllis Wenasko, Olean, N.Y.; Mrs. 
  Mabel Lee, Baltimore; Mrs. Irene Evans, Arnold, Pa.; Mrs. Sally Yenchi, 
  East McKeesport; Mrs. Florence DiVavliss, Painesville, Ohio; and Mrs. 
  Marcella Gilles, Geneva, Ohio; also 40 grandchildren and 12 great 
  great-grandchildren.
    He was a brother of William, Meyersdale RD 2; Homer, Crasaptown; 
  Mrs. Bertha Henry, Connellsville; Mrs. Mary Hook, McKeesport; and 
  Mrs. Florence Shockey, Seattle, Wash.
    A veteran of World War I, he was also a member of Meyersdale 
  LOOM.
    Service will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at Price Funeral Home 
  with Rev. W. A. Cassidy officiating.  Interment will be made in Union 
  Cemetery.
