Gerhardt, 79, of Boulder, Colo., died June 17, 2002 in Louisville, Colo. He lived in Boulder from July 1963 until present. Born Feb. 17, 1923 in Somerset. Son of Jacob B. and Florence M. (Musser) Gerhardt. Preceded in death by parents and sister. Survived by wife, Rosaline M. Gerhardt of Boulder, Colo.; daughter Deborah A. Misner, Louisville, Colo.; son, Fred M. Gerhardt Jr., Niwot, Colo.; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was Captain of Police at the University of Colorado from 1963 until his retirement in June 1, 1984. U.S. Army veteran for two years. Member of Somerset Masonic Lodge 358. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, bowling. He was a very loving family member. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Bible; 3245 Kalmia, Boulder, Colo. Rev. Tom Shirk and Rev. Rick Howe. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
