   Gerald E. "Jerry" Gerhardt, 53, Clayton, Del., died April 24, 2006, in Bayhealth/Kent
  General Hospital. Mr. Gerhardt was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Somerset, the son of the late
  Harry Gerhardt Sr. and Joan Barclay Sanner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded
  in death by two brothers, Harry Gerhardt Jr. and Kenneth Gerhardt. He is survived by his
  longtime companion and girlfriend, Dale M. Dittman; a son, Billy Joshua Gerhardt,
  Missouri; a daughter, Kayla Gerhardt, Missouri; two brothers, Robert O. Metzgar, Jr. and
  his wife Hope, Townsend, Del., with whom he worked; and Joseph C. Metzgar and his wife
  Lynette, Rockwood; his step-father, James R. Sanner of Rockwood; a nephew and niece,
  Bobby Metzgar, Townsend; and Justine Hay, Rockwood; and his girl- friend's children,
  Harry and Amy Dittman. He retired from the United States Army in March 1991 as a sergeant
  first class. For the last seven years, he worked for his brothers business, Aqua Pro Inc.
  in Smyrna, Del. A service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans
  Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701. Burial will be in the
  adjoining cemetery. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors, Inc., 29 S. Main St.,
