  Kenneth R. Gerhardt, 38, McKees Rocks, Pa., died May 8, 1989, at his
  residence.  Born Nov. 16, 1951, in Somerset, son of Joan and James Sanner,
  Rockwood RD 2.  Preceded in death by a brother, Harry (Sweeny) Gerhardt, in
  1985, and maternal grandparents: John and Hazel Barclay.  Survived by three
  children: Sarah, David and Jonathan, all of Greensburg; brother, Gerald,
  Aberdeen, Md.; two stepbrothers: Joseph (Buck) Metzgar, Somerset RD 6, and
  Robert Metzgar, Delaware; a niece, Justine Metzgar.  Graduate of Forbes
  High School Class of 1969.  A veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of the
  Stoystown United Church of Christ.  No viewing of the remains.  Private
  funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Wilbur D.
  Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gregory Gohn officiating.  Interment,
  Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
