  Mrs. Lorraine (Peg) Gerhardt, 78, North Center Avenue, Somerset, died Dec.
  7, 1984, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born Feb. 6, 1906, in
  Somerset Township, daughter of the late Lorenzo Dowe and Cora (Pritts)
  Bowlby.  Also preceded in death by her husband, Freeman W., and three
  brothers.  Survived by daughter, Mrs. William (Iona) Brown, Virginia Beach,
  Va.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Samuel
  (Violet) Sabtino, Jamesburg, N.J.; and Mrs. Earl (Ella) Bittner,
  Somerset.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, AARP and
  Singles Club.  She was a former lab technician with the H.W. Walker Company
  and Somerset Community Hospital.  Employee of George's Mens Shop.  Friends
  will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Richard E. Hauger
  Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with
  the Rev. William Mulford officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.
