  HOMER W. "WHITEY" GERHART
  
  Homer W. "Whitey" Gerhart, 83, Meyersdale, a loving husband, father,
  grandfather and great-grandfather, died Nov. 30, 2004, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center.  Born Feb. 17, 1921, in Meyersdale.  A son of the late Paul
  and Grace (Beal) Gerhart.  Survived by his wife of 60 years, the former
  Viola Emerick and four daughters: Judy, wife of David VanMeter, Cumberland,
  Md.; Linda VanMeter, Wellersburg; Bonnie, wife of Ralph Tressler; and Patty,
  wife of Tim Amann, Meyersdale.  Also survived by four grandchildren: David
  VanMeter Jr., Ralph Tressler Jr., Amy Long, and James VanMeter Jr. and
  seven great-grandchildren who were the joy of his life.  He is survived by
  numerous brothers and sisters.  Whitey loved hunting, gardening and was an
  avid sports fan.  A veteran U.S. Army World War II.  Friends will be received
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale,
  where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday.  The Rev. Joe Onder
  officiating.  Interment Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.  Arrangements by the
  William Rowe Price Funeral Home Inc., Meyersdale.

    Homer W. ñWhiteyî Gerhart, 83, of Meyersdale, a loving husband, father,
  grandfather, and great-grandfather, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at
  Meyersdale Medical Center.
    Born February 17, 1921 in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Paul and
  Grace (Beal) Gerhart.
    He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Viola Emerick, and four
  daughters: Judy, wife of David VanMeter, Cumberland, Md.; Linda VanMeter,
  Wellersburg; Bonnie, wife of Ralph Tressler, Meyersdale; and Patty, wife of
  Tim Amann, Meyersdale.  He is also survived by four grandchildren: David
