  GERHART
  
    Roger E. Gerhart, 62, Garrett, passed away March 24, 1997, at Meyersdale
  Medical Center.  Born Dec. 17, 1934, in Meyersdale, a son of the late Clyde
  and Sadie (Mull) Gerhart.  Also preceded in death by two sisters: Marie
  Gerhart and Thelma Clites, and a brother, Roy Gerhart.  Survived by his
  wife, and best friend, of 41 years, the former Grace Decker.  Beloved
  father of two: Michael, married to the former Linda Snyder, Donegal, and
  Michele, wife of Ron Donaldson, Garrett.  Beloved grandfather of four: Kara
  and Jenna Gerhart, and Megan and Ryan Donaldson.  A brother of Anna Boden
  and Bill Gerhart, both of Meyersdale; John Gerhart, Garrett, and Ruth
  Bowers, Harrisburg. Member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett; B.P.O.E.
  Lodge 1951, Meyersdale.  Served in the U.S. Army 5th Inf. Div. Band, Ft.
  Ord, Calif. May 1955 to May 1957.  Former employee of A&P Tea Co., Decker
  Construction and was retired from Surfield Coal Co.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with
  Pastor Craig Lyman officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett. 
  Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Mt. Tabor Lutheran
  Church, Garrett.
