Getty, died in Los Angeles, Cal., last Friday. Mrs. Getty is enroute east with his body which will arrive at Meyersdale at 11:52 Saturday morning, and will be taken at once to Grantsville, Md., by Undertaker William Winterberg of that place, for burial in the Grantsville Cemetery. The hour for the funeral services and burial has not yet been fixed. Mr. Getty was the second son of the late Senator William Getty of Grantsville, where he was born and reared. For forty years he was general bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Cumberland, Md., and was given a leave of absence about two years ago as a reward for long and faithful service. His eyes, which had been giving him some trouble previous to that time became gradually worse, his vision being impaired so as to render further work impossible. Last year he and Mrs. Getty went to Los Angeles where his health appeared excellent. Death came suddenly, following a heart attack of twenty-four hours duration. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Keller, of Grantsville, and Mrs. Bruce Lichty, of Meyersdale, and four brothers, Dr. Oliver G. Getty, Clarence, John O., and Charles Getty preceded him in death. Meyersdale Republican, July 24, 1930 --- ALVIN F. GETTY Grantsville, Maryland Funeral of Alvin F. Getty The funeral of Alvin F.
